Sales Engineer - Service

Location:  Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Contract type: Regular/Permanent

Business unit: Business Unit Oil, Gas & Chemicals

Job function:  Sales

Tasks:

You will deliver the service portfolio to ABB customers within the Industrial Automation division in Malaysia. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, you will play a crucial role in implementing the service sales strategy.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Service database to understand the existing installed base, identify and develop sales opportunities within the Industrial Automation division.
• Drive sales volume and margin across the entire ABB Service product portfolio in collaboration with other business units and regularly updating Service with changes made at site. 
• Establish long term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and applicable regulations, responding immediately to issues, and demonstrating in-depth technical service product/solutions knowledge to promote product Life Cycle Management. 
• Communicate contract details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy, and manage associated administrative sales processes.
• Prepare and review sales plans, propose recovery actions when needed, to ensure all targets are met.
• Implement the service sales strategy, with a focus on penetrating installed base, and promoting various upgrade, retrofit and value add solutions to the benefit of the customer and ABB. 
• Actively promote ABB’s service products and solutions during various marketing activities (trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings), while monitoring customer and market trends to develop effective marketing activities in collaboration with the marketing team.
• Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Requirements:

Your background

• Bachelor of Engineering.
• More than 3 years of experience in Sales.
• Sound knowledge of oil and gas process sales and service within oil and gas and petrochemicals industry. 
• Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
